We have a school uniform, which looks very smart and is greatly respected by the local community. In applying and accepting a place at St Philip Neri with St Bede Catholic Voluntary Academy, the Governors expect parents to uphold the recommended dress code and appreciate their support in this matter. PE Uniform

The uniform for PE is: Plain black shorts, plain white t-shirt, black plimsolls. Older pupils may require tracksuits and football boots or trainers for outdoor games. More details can be found here.


In the interest of your child’s safety, NO jewellery is to be worn at school - unless you submit a letter giving good reason why it should be worn.  Should jewellery need to be worn, your child will be asked to remove it prior to the practical lesson.

Hair Styles

Long hair must be tied back for health and safety reasons.  Hair must not be excessively short or long.  Hair must NOT have patterns, shapes or be dyed with bright colours. If in doubt, check with the Head or senior staff before having a cut/treatment.  Any hairstyle or dress which may cause others fear, or which may cause excessive comment or distress will not be allowed.
