School Sport

Dear Parents, Carers and Visitors

At St Philip Neri with St Bede Catholic Voluntary Academy, we pride ourselves on promoting and providing our children with sporting opportunities to enable them to develop their skills, keep fit, learn about important rules when playing different sports and how to deal with sporting competitions.  We also provide after-school sporting clubs to promote sports and to provide our children with opportunities to develop their talents.

Our children always give 100%, and as a school, we are very proud. Over the last year, we have attended over 40 sporting competitions and represented Mansfield at the Nottinghamshire County games Finals held at Nottingham University in Tri-golf and Pop Lacrosse. Already this year, we have been successful in a number of competitions including cross country, hockey and football.

Our school games crew, led by Mr Evans, work very hard to promote sports within the school and run regular sports events at lunchtime to provide children with fun ways participate in sports. They meet on a Weekly basis to discuss ways to improve sports across the school. A big thank you to those children for their effort and their willingness to give up their free time to provide for other children.

Please have a look at all our photos and read what our school games crew reporters have written about our teams. Keep coming back as we will continue to update this on a weekly basis. If you have any queries please don't hesitate to contact Mr Evans or the School Games Presidents.

A note from the Games Crew Presidents

We hope you enjoy the sporting section of our website. We really enjoy being part of developing and promoting sports at school and meeting weekly with Mr Evans to discuss sports across the school. We love entering and taking part in different competitions. We hope you can see all the hard work we do in taking photos and writing up about sports events. Thank you

James, Jack and Enya.
