Whether you are an existing Parent or someone looking for a place at our school, welcome to the St. Philip Neri with St. Bede Catholic Voluntary Academy website. Our school is situated in the heart of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, and has a rich history. St. Philip Neri with St. Bede’s was formed by the amalgamation of St. Philip Neri First School with St. Bede’s Middle School in 1984. The school is housed in the formed St. Bede’s building, which was built in 1960. The original St. Philip’s First School building was demolished; it was situated where the Magistrates Court stands today.
Presently, we have over 480 children on roll, aged 3-11. Our school serves the parishes of St. Philip’s, Mansfield; St. Joseph the Worker, Sutton-in-Ashfield and Our Lady Help of Christians, Kirkby-in-Ashfield. We are proud to be part of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust.
At St Philip Neri with St Bede, all that we do is based on our Mission Statement: “We put Christ at the centre of our lives”. By living this out, our children are proud to profess their faith, have a love of learning, a love of themselves, and each other and our world. As a dedicated staff team, we strive to nurture every child’s spiritual, academic, social and personal development. Our ultimate aim is for children to be safe, happy, achieve success and to return eagerly to school each day.
You are very welcome to visit the school to find out more about us. Please telephone or email us to arrange this.
We look forward to seeing you and hopefully working with you and your children in the future.
Mr. D. Steele
